Περίληψη:

[...] The exhibition helps to understand how in this city-state of some thousand citizens it was possible for the individual Athenian to get to the People's meetings, to express his opinion, to contribute to concrete law proposals and to have them passed as resolutions which the executive officers were bound to implement.

Walking through the exhibition, which is organized by the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, following the initiative of its President and President of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Dimitrios Sioufas, you will study the different periods of the development of the Athenian democratic model as well as its ups and downs. You will equally become aware which opportunities the model offered, but also of the dangers the model entailed; you will also become aware of what brought its successes and what prepared its decline.
